Today, after about 18/20 rejections, i recieved my first partial request on my story. Holy moly, I was so excited. I opened the e-mail and literaly said "Great, another reject to start my day" but i've actually grown okay and used to rejects.
But no, it was a request for a partial. I scared the hell out of connor and Barri as i began to dance around the kitchen and swung connor around a bit (Ok, he loved that). Caren Johnson Literary agency, actually. Even if i recieve an ultimate pass--at least i made it that far. It got me back into being positive about that story (titled "Lonely Creatures")
And i got to spend the entire day with my sister. And i dyed my hair back to brunette. Because it had been black, its still pretty dark, but it wil get lighter as i go along.
We are getting a hurrican this weekend. Why do i live here again?
And my dear friend Neil's story reminded me to get a copy of "The wind in the Willows" for Connor. I'm sure he would love Toad and company as much as i did.
